Border Announces Appointment of Officers Feb. 2, 2011 (Filing Services Canada) -- Border Petroleum Corp. (BOR - TSX Venture), is pleased to announce, effective immediately, the appointment of Ying Yuen as Chief Financial Officer of the Company.  Mr. Yuen is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience in senior financial and management positions.  Prior to his appointment with Border, Mr. Yuen served as Chief Financial Officer and was a founding shareholder of Bountiful Resources Inc., a private oil and gas exploration and production company with core areas in the Red Earth and Garrington areas of Alberta, which was sold to Barrick Energy Inc. in May 2010.  Mr. Yuen has also served as Chief Financial Officer for a number of private and public oil and gas and oil and gas services companies since 1998.   Mr. Yuen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1992.  Mr. Yuen replaces Gerry Mendyk, who has taken the position of Chief Executive Officer of a Calgary based oil and gas services company.  Mr. Mendyk will continue to assist Border on a consulting basis with respect to the transition.  On behalf of the Company, the Board thanks Mr. Mendyk for his efforts in managing and advancing Border during his term as Chief Financial Officer and wishes him success in his future endeavors.  The Company is also pleased to announce that it has appointed Douglas M. Stuve as Corporate Secretary.  Mr. Stuve is a partner with the law firm Burstall Winger LLP of Calgary, Alberta.  Mr. Stuve's principal area of practice is corporate finance and securities law, as well as general corporate commercial law.
